Sueno: ASG claims responsibility over Davao's deadly blast

Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mike Sueno said the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) has claimed accountability for the deadly explosion in a Davao City, Roxas night market, Friday, that claimed the lives of at least 14 and wounded some 70 others.

In an interview with DZRH News on Saturday morning, Sueno confirmed such adding the government already had intellegence information taunting about a possible terror attack from the bandit group days ahead.

“Yes. We expected this already. Two or three days ago pa may intelligence na tayo about this,” Sueno said.

Radio DZMM also reported that ASG spokesperson Abu Rami owned that the group owns up to the deadly attack.

The explosion happened days after the government has announced  an all out war against ASG.

The authorities said that such attack in Davao City is meant to scare and put the Duterte administration in bad situation.
