Aquino joins rally to persuade 8 SC justices to disagree Marcos Burial at LNB

Former president Benigno “PNoy” Aquino III surprised people as he appears during the Pray for 8 Concert held at the Lapu-Lapu Shrine, Luneta with its purpose to urge 8 Supreme Court justices to vote against Marcos Burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNB) on Sunday, November 6.

Together with the former president is his former Cabinet secretary Mar Roxas and accompanied by Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, also the new appointed President of Liberal Party (LP).

These three men were in white shirt which symbolizes the fighting color for this movement.

When asked if he felt people already discarded yellow, Aquino said by choosing color white, the people are emphasizing the fight against Marcos Burial at LNB is not just a fight between two families.

Aquino further emphasized that this is not a battle between to families rather many families sacrificed during the dictatorship to win back again the country’s freedom.

The late Senator Ninoy Aquino, also the opposition leader died after his assassination in 1982 that became the turning point of people to fight against the dictator. The political color that represented the fight for democracy was yellow and deeply associated with the Aquino Family.

This was Aquino's first time to attend a gathering of Marcos protesters since President Rodrigo Duterte ordered Marcos' burial at the LNB.

He quoted, “I’m just here as part of the audience.”

Aquino together with Roxas lasted for an hour in the said concert.

On November 8 the Supreme Court will give its decision regarding the petition against the Marcos LNB Burial.
