WATCH: Duterte answers back protesters on Marcos burial

President Rodrigo Duterte finally breaks his silence regarding the Marcos burial on Wednesday, November 23 right after his arrival at the Davao City International Airport

The opposing groups were addressed by President Duterte asking them if they could answer negatively two questions which are: Was Marcos a president? Was he a soldier?

"I will gladly, and happy even, to step down and relinquish my post if you can answer in the negative these two key questions. Was the late Ferdinand Marcos a president? Was he a soldier?” Duterte exclaimed in his speech.

Duterte further said that it requires history to document heroism.

The burial was described by the anti-Marcos as sneaky and clandestine was held on November 18. This was kept secret from the public and was only disclosed couple of hours before the actual event.

During the burial, President Duterte was out of the country attending the 2016 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Lima, Peru.
