During the said reopening, more than 100 tourists from China arrived  carried by the China Eastern Airlines.
These tourists were welcomed by merry making brought by young Ilocano talents led by Vera Cheug, the assistant to the chairman of the international marketing office of Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel located in Laoag City.
Cheung mentioned chartered flights from the mentioned route closed down for three months after Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel's contract with China Eastern Airlines ended.
One more reason of the delay was due to the unstable weather condition from August to October, Cheung added.
Schedule of China Eastern Airlines for Guangzhou to Laoag and vice versa is scheduled every Tuesday and Saturday.
