No Libingan burial for Duterte when his time comes

President Rodrigo Duterte announced he will not be laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani when he his time will come during All Saint’s Day visit to his parent’s grave in Davao, November 1.

“"Susmaryosep, kanila na yan. Pagtatalunan pa natin yan (They can have it. We don't need to argue about it.)," Duterte explained to the reporters.
Duterte explained he prefers to be buried in his hometown unlike two other former presidents who were buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
He said there is no greater honor than being laid to rest beside his parents.

Meanwhile, President Duterte is firm on allowing the burial of the late Ferdinand  Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani amidst objections laid by the martial law victims.
According to military regulations, presidents and commanders-in-chief, chiefs of staff, dignitaries, statesmen are allowed to be buried at the Libingan.
