Taft Avenue schools conduct rally saying “Marcos not a hero”

With one aim to revert the burial of the late President Ferdinand Marcos, hundred of students and administrators from university belt in Taft Avenue came into unity as they held rally on Thursday, November 24.


The rally that was initiated by the student organizations aims to express annoyance over the decision of the President Rodrigo Duterte to let the late president be laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

The alliance was called Taft Network which is composed of students and staff from the De La Salle University, DLSU-Law, College of Saint Benilde, St Scholastica’s College, and the Arellano University School of Law.

The participants created a noise barrage and lit candles during the said event as a kick-off to the grand anti-Marcos rally to be held in Luneta on Friday.

One of the organizers said that the purpose of their rally is to educate the youth on social and political issues to ensure that Martial Law will not take place again.
