WATCH: Duterte renders a song to the Filipino Community in KL, Malaysia

President Rodrigo Duterte serenaded the Filipino community in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia during his state visit on November 12.

Duterte sang a Tagalog song entitled “Ikaw” during his meeting with the said community as revealed in a posted article on GMA News Online.
The purpose of the President’s state visit is to have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and to meet 150,000 Filipinos residing in the said country.

The topics discussed according to Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Charles Jose included peace talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, security issues in the Sulu-Sulawesi Sea, counter-terrorism, and the chairmanship of Philippines for the upcoming ASEAN 2017.

Jose quoted the Philippines looks upon Malaysia, both as a brother nation and as a dependable partner, not only bilaterally but also within the larger context of the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei-Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area) and the beloved Asean community.

When asked if Sabah issue has been tackled, Jose said that he is not certain.

“It may or it may not be raised. But, in any case, if it is raised by either side, I’m sure our President will be prepared to discuss this issue,” he said.
