WATCH! Imee Marcos apologizes for Martial Law circumstances

Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee marcos apologized for the unexpected incidents during the Martial Law, on her birthday, November 12.

The governor apologized to every victim during the Martial Law unforeseen circumstances because they never wished to hurt someone.

She added that her family wouldn’t deny that there were abuses during the Martial Law.

“Wala namang sinasabi na walang kasalanan. Eh talaga namang inaamin nating lahat,” she quoted.
After former president Fidel Ramos expressed his statement that Marcos family owes the country an apology for the abuses committed during the Martial Law, the governor made the statement.

During an interview with GMA News’ Sandra Aguinaldo, Imee said “Address [the apology] to all the descendants of the victims, whether or not there is an investigation, to show sincere desire to discard, reject and eliminate already all the dictatorial tendencies and happenings during that period.”

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court voted 9-5 allowing the burial of the late President at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

However, Ramos pointed out the part of the SC’s decision where the tribunal said disagrees with the petitioners' claim that Marcos was "dishonorably discharged" through the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.

Meanwhile, Gov. Marcos claimed that before the President’s urge to burry his father, it was Ramos who said it first.
