WATCH: ARMM roads construction now ongoing under Duterte Administration

Change has finally come as the farthest and unreachable places of Southern Philippines are now near to accessibility.


In a Facebook article published on December 9 under DPWH-ARMM On the Road account, a documentary video was uploaded which shows the road improvements and concrete pavement constructions in the powerful Sultanates of Sulu.

Dubbed as the war prone area in the Philippines, the Administrative Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao is now improving since President Rodrigo Duterte took his seat as the president and evidence of it is the massive road construction specifically in Sulu area.

“The more we build our roads, the more we can provide opportunities sa ating mga kababayan, the more we can provide sustainable peace sa mga lugar na matagal ng nasa gyera,” Engr. Don Mustapha A. Loong, Regional Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways ARMM said.

According to Loong, only President Duterte had the courage to start these constructions in the said area.
The regional secretary further said that the opening of these roads is a huge contribution for tourism purposes since even locals couldn’t access the places which has ambiance of Tagaytay.

Meanwhile, the video also feature an ongoing construction that connects municipalities of Sulu province  namely Kalingalan, Caluang , and Omar with an area of 7.5 kilometers which will be inaugurated on the first quarter of  2017.

Commanding General of the Military group in Sulu province Col. Faustino said that the constructions are the long term solution in making the communities more prosperous.

The people hope that under the President Duterte administration, economic development and sustainable peace will finally come to the poorest, most conflict affected, isolated and underdeveloped areas like in Sulu.
