WATCH: WW2 Veteran pays his last respect to the late President Marcos

A video of a World War II veteran paying his last respect to the late President Ferdinand Marcos in his grave was uploaded and went viral online yesterday, December 5.

The said person is Hiroshi Takagan, 82 years old from Kobe, Japan and a World War II Veteran of the Japanese Imperial Army offered prayers as his tribute to the late President.

In the uploaded video Tagaki also played the song entitled Dahil Sa Iyo using his flute.

According to sources, the world war veteran went to the grave of Apo Lakay upon his arrival from Japan.

This video also drew reactions from the netizens. Lao A. Gan said “Buti pa ang mga banyagang Hapon ina-acknowledge ang dating presidente. Samantalang kapwa mo kabayan, bulag pa rin sa katotohanan.”

Ireneo Delgado also exclaimed that it is a shame for the fellow Filipinos who cannot appreciate Marcos.

“Mostly Japanese believes in Spirits or souls of their passed loved ones. In my opinion, Takagi respects the late Ferdinand Marcos for his greatness and hoping that his soul spreads continually guiding people to follow his greatness intellectually,”Marie Bernardo quoted.
