A netizen explained warning signs of a corrupt politician using his Facebook account on January 20.


Jovybev Aquino said government officials do not get paid much so they do resort to corruption.

"1. Puts his picture and his name on whatever project or gift bag he can. Leni, ikaw ba yan," Jovybev described.

He also added that gaudy mansions and expensive cars, and claiming national projects for the credits are also signs of corruption.

"No to yellows, no to Aquino, no to Cojuangco, Delima, Drilon, Pangilinan, Recto, Arroyo, Hontiveros... to almost all congressmen, partylist, to all those mayots that havr lived off for your misery," he exclaimed.

2. If your city or town seems like it has been forgotten by time. Roads not fixed, basic services lacking or non existent. It is likely that whoever has been sitting has enriched himself with funds that should have been used for your welfare.

3. Expensive cars and gaudy mansions.

4. Takes advantage of national projects and claims it as their own.

5. Anyone with the same family names as the past 5 previously elected officials.

6. Often Travels to different countries with their families as if they are just going to a park for a stroll.

7. They pretend to fix your roads before election, only to leave it in a worse state after they have won.

Remember, government officials do not get paid much, they should live in accordance with their earnings. If they keep winning and you keep living miserable lives, we have no one else to blame but ourselves.
