LOOK: PNoy visits De Lima inside detention

Former President Benigno 'PNoy' Aquino III went to visit Senator Leila de Lima at her detention center, Camp Crame, said the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to the PNP Public Information Office, two white support utility vehicles went to the custodial center at around 1.45 in the afternoon, March 2.

The report also said PNoy stayed for two hours and did not entertain interviews and security was very tight outside the facility.

PNP spokesman Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos said the ex president was accompanied by Joseph Casimiro, his former executive assistant and speech writer.

It can be recalled earlier that Aquino sent a letter to the PNP requesting his permission to visit De Lima.

De Lima was arrested on February 24, 2017 after the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) ordered her arrest due to drug charges.
