LOOK: President Duterte approves national broadband program

President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the establishment of a National Portal Program during the 13th Cabinet Meeting held in Malacañang on March 6.

In a Facebook post published by Department of Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol, photos of the 13th cabinet meeting were captured.

The president has approved the program after the Department of Information and Communication Technology Secretary Rodolfo Salalima presented the program.

Duterte emphasized that he would like DITC to develop a national broadband plan to accelerate the deployment of fiber optics cables and improve faster internet speed.

It's been long years that the Philippines has been suffering from a slow internet connection and provider.
