LOOK! Security guard to march as cum laude in the school he guards

For he believes that education is valuable. A man who's been working as a security guard for 20 years at St. Theresa's College in Cebu City is set to march in a graduation exercises together with the students he watches over.

Erwin Macua will graduate  today, March 25 with a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in General Education.

The 30 year old hails from Trinidad Bohol juggled his life as a security guard, student, and as a father to his three children.

"Age is not a hindrance, poverty is not a hindrance. Jut pursue your dream with the formula: hard work plus determination plhs prayer and you will reach your aspirations in life," Macua said.

This man has always been his dream to finish his studues and that he wanted to be a teacher because he has developed a special affection for children.

"Education is a good course to deal woth students and you can really change their lives," he said.

He used his small savings to pay for his freshman tuition fee and was lucky enough to be sponsored by an anonymous donor for his remaining years in school.

Macua plans to continue his work as a security guard while self-reviewing for the licensure examination for teachers.
