WATCH: Duterte visits slain soldier's wake, gives comfort to his family

Right after his official business in Middle East, President Rodrigo Duterte went to the wake of slain soldier 2Lt. Estelito Saldua Jr. in his residence at Barangay Mojon Tampoy, San Jose Batangas, early in the morning of April 17.


23 years old Saldua was killed in action while conducting a speical operation against the Abu Sayyaf Group on April 11 in Bohol.

Duterte traveled to Batangas to give comfort to Saldua's family and also gave a medal of honor.

The president pinned personally the medal of honor to the casket of 2Lt Saldua.

He also extended help in form of financial and in kind.

Duterte pledged to look into the deeper case of Saldua for his justice together with two other soldiers killed in the said incident.
