Late Sen. Miriam’s sister reveals ICC strategy of Yellowtards after Duterte’s impeachment was doomed

Members of House committee on Justice junked President Rodrigo Duterte’s impeachment case filed by Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano after they concluded that it was insufficient in substance.

In line with this, Alejano said to the media that he considers to approach the International Criminal Court (ICC) to hold President Duterte accountable after it was dismissed.

On the other hand, Legal advisor to the Philippine Embassy at The Hague and younger sister of late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Paula Defensor-Knack warned everyone about the ICC strategy the Yellowtards are staging.

Knack questioned Alejano’s announced trip to The Hague despite the fact that a complaint was already filed by atty. Sabio for crimes against humanity for the drug war before the ICC.

She also said Alejano’s moves are coached by an insider of ICC.

Knack also emphasized they will use the ICC to issue warrants of arrest for Duterte.

“They will use a new complaint filed by Alejano or use his testimony as evidence that the justice system no longer functions. They will also present news articles, the impeachment video of the House impeachment court and the video of Alejano showing serious frustration (and acting it out - see news article below) while calling Pres. Duterte a dictator and the fact that he was not allegedly allowed to speak before the impeachment court as evidence of "UNWILLING AND UNABLE" provision on admissibility under the Rome Statute AND the recommendation for investigation by the EU Periodic Human Rights Review and the testimony of Agnes Callamard on the findings of CHR and the UNHCR ,” said Knack in her Facebook post published May 16.

The legal advisor also said this complaints will be on the hands of Inquirer publisher Judge Raul Pangalanan.

“They would then seek Confirmation of Charges for crimes against humanity based on the joint complaints of Atty. Sabio and Rep. Alejano before the Pre-Trial Chamber where Inquirer publisher Judge Raul Pangalangan sits. ‘
