Story behind Gina Lopez rejection as DENR Secretary, finally revealed by a netizen

Alleged reason behind the rejection of Gina Lopez’ confirmation as Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary went viral after a netizen on social media platform, Facebook.

A netizen named Arne Gershwin Gogo in his Facebook account pointed out Gina’s rejection was all about politics mentioning President Rodrigo Duterte did not backed her up this time because he let Sonny Dominguez to do the rest.

He added Lopez retained the operation of the mining company under the Gutierrez’ in Agusan which people believe to be one of the biggest campaign contributors of Mar Roxas.

“Now I know, why Alan Peter Cayetano kept on asking Lopez on how the judgment was made among those mining companies who passed and failed in the audit. The thing is, Lopez retained the operation of the mining of the Gutierrez's in Agusan in which we all know, one of the biggest campaign contributors of Mar Roxas,” said Gogo.

The netizen said there is a close tie between Lopez and the Gutierrez and only lately that Digong learned about this which resulted to unanimous decision of Duterte’s allies to reject Gina’s appointment.

“Well they say that the Lopez' and the Gutierrez' are close. And Digong just learned about this, lately. So it was a unanimous decision to the allies of the President to vote NO, whom we expected to back up Lopez from the start. The like of Pimentel, Cayetano, Lacson and Zubiri and all of the 12 member Congressmen of the C.A, really think that the best option they had is to let Lopez go.”

In conclusion, Arne said the Yellow senators voted for Gina so that they could get benefit from her.

“And why is it that all dilawan senators voted for Lopez? Because they can all benefit from her.”
