Vice President’s SALN Revelation: She Lost a Huge Amount of Cash

A decline by more than P2 million was reflected on the Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) of the current Vice President Leni Robredo as accounted in her first six months in office.

She had a net worth of P11 million on June 30 and a noticeable difference was realized on her December 31, 2016 SALN which totaled to P8,878,111.43.

A dip in her cash caused the decline of the Vice President’s wealth. Her real and personal properties, as well as liabilities and all other aspects of Robredo’s SALN remained the same.

The total acquisition cost of P1.7 million that was indicated in the SALN comprises of two residential lots, three agricultural lots, one memorial lot, one orchard lot and one residential house.

Her liabilities however covered the loans from relatives of her late husband, Jesse Robredo, and other people which summed up to P6.9 million.

She also specified in her SALN the shares of stock she has from Meralco, which she indicated that she acquired them over the years.

On the other hand, there is a contrast on the shifting on the net worth of the Vice President compared to that of the President which increased by more than P3 million between June 30 to December 31, 2016.
