READ: Duterte's message will boost Muslims' faith toward ongoing crisis

President Rodrigo Duterte encouraged Muslims to use their energies to rebuild a unified Philippine in his Eid'l Fitr message at the end of Ramadan season.

The president emphasized people's enegy is the key for fostering national unity in his spech before the Muslims amid the lingering crisis in Marawi City.

"Let us channel our energies towards fostering national unity- because dedicating our lives to the betterment of humanity is the best way to demonstrae our devotion to God," Duterte said.

He also added that we need a society in which love, mutual respect, and understanding is needed.

"Together, let us work toward building a society that is grounded on love, mutual respect, and understanding."

Rody remained hopeful finally ending the Muslim rebellion in Mindanao with his ongoing talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Moro national Liberation Front for peace agreement anchored on the creation of a Bangsamoro entity.

He also stressed that God should be above anything else.

"Dedicating our lives to the betterment of humanity is the best way to demonstrate our devotion to God."
