In his first public appearance in Butuan after his five-day rest, the President mentioned that what people may see about his health is they thing they could only get.

"My state of health is what you see is what you get. You want an operation? Pag di pa gano ninyo ako makita ng limang araw, eh patay na yan," said Duterte in an interview.

Duterte has also admitted that he had his last medical examination was a week ago.

The president said his true state of health was "immaterial" anyway considering that whatever happened to him, there was no risk of having a power vacuum because there would be Vice President Leni Robredo to take over.

"Ayaw pa ninyo 'yan? baka isang araw, baka isang taon lang, bago na naman. Bagong President. I am good while I'm alive. Sabihin mo nalang donon sa mga kalaban ko na magdasal na lang kayo." Duterte added.

He also advised the opposition to do better than to order him what to do with his health.

"Ganon ako. I do not need anybody to ask me where I'm going. Ganon' talaga. You must learn from the Davao Media," he said.

"Do not worry about a one day, two day absence. Baka nasanay na kayo kay Marcos noon 'no, na na-operahan, may sakit lupus tapos he could not appear for so many days," said Duterte referring to the late President Ferdinand Marcos.
