WATCH: Trillanes says he's not a part of the Dilawan

Opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes defended himself for tagging him as a part of the 'Dilawan' or the Liberal Party whom netizens is always blaming for the destabilization of government under President Rodrigo Duterte.

Trillanes in an interview addressed this issue saying that it's a classic propaganda style to label someone who is going against the norm.

"Alam niyo kase style ng mga propagandista yan, yung gumawa ng sariling kaaway. Kailaangang mong maghanap ng blame para yung pagkukulang mo, may pagbabalingan. So yan po ang ginagawa nila, it's a classic case of propaganda tactics kaya yun, mag ba-branding sila, dilawan yan, sila ang dahilan ng lahat ng problema," said Trillanes.

The controversial senator clarfied himseld that he's not one of the dilawan.

"But ako, hindi naman ako Dilawan, member ako ng Nacionalista party," Trillanes added.

The former navy official became famous after his interview with Stephen Sackur on BBC HARDTalk and received opposing thoughts from the anchor.

Trillanes is known to be one of the staunch critics of President Duterte especially on his war on illegal drugs.
