Trillanes hits Duterte as hypocrite on BOC issue

Opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV slammed President Rodrigo Duterte on the recent Bureau of Customs, saying this has demonstrated lies and hypocrisy of the president, August 12.

In a radio nterview, Trillanes claims the entry of shabu could not have been just an isolated case.

“This goes very deep. There is a syndicate involved. This is not a case where someone (at Customs) messed up. This was prearranged by a drug lord, which was why it got into the country,” Trillanes said.

Trillanes found it puzzlng that Duterte is still silent  against the tagged BOC officials despite his hatred over corruption.

“Duterte said that the moment he as much as smells a hint of corruption, he would immediately fire the person involved. Here we have a case where the evidence is in plain sight and he is even covering it up. You cannot rely on his word. He is a liar” Trillanes said.

The president's son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte was also tagged by broker Mark Taguba saying there has been rumors that he is also involved in the smuggling.

Paolo denied the rumors.

Rody has challeneged the accusers to bring out the evidences they have to prove the allegations and if it's true he said he will step down from his position.

Trillanes on theother hand called on the Office of the Ombudsman to release the bank records of Duterte and his family that it has reportedly received from the Anti-Money Laundering Council.

“I now call on the ombudsman to release these documents so the public would know how corrupt Duterte is,” Trillanes said.
